ABOUT RAY K
DJ Ray K was born in Bartow FL sometime in the mid 70's. He grew affectionate for music of all forms very early in his childhood. His first mix tapes were done on a large dictation tape recorder straight off the radio. Later he moved on to 2 tape decks before he learned the art of sophisticated blend-- Ha! His current mixes employ a wide variety of down tempo, classic, and current electronic dance music . It is hard for one to pin down the Ray K sound- in one set or release he may play soulful / instrumental, in another he may be playing more progressive or Tech House. However no matter what he plays, there is always a groove... and it is always sexy. His current residency, "Money's 2 Tight 2 Mention" at 621 North in Brandon, Florida is designed to be a no frills come as you are party in the spirit of the famous loft parties NYC and more recently Danny Tenaglia's "Be Yourself".
