ABOUT DJ 2SOUL
Dj 2Soul’s musical career started years ago when he got the opportunity to buy a complete record shop including some 900 records and two famous Technics SL1200 analog turntables. The beginning was a variation of different style’s, from jazz to funk and from soul to disco. Also small minimal and techno influences were present. Among the first records where classic house hits like Robin S’ Show me love, Stardust’s Music sounds better with you and The Nightcrawler’s Push the feeling on. In order to find he’s preferred style he started to spend his free hours in record shops listening to different artist and different sounds. Although the skills were low at the time, the feeling was there and the passion for house music was born…
Getting some fame among the local people, his first demo, strictly mixed with vinyl, had a big impact and the word spread that there was a new talent in town. 2Soul got the opportunity to show his skills at several parties and became resident in club Santé for his exclusive music and mixing style. As a resident a larger audience heard his music and his style and skills were not unnoticed.
Now years later Dj 2Soul is specialized in deep house with a funky flavor and his mixing skills reached a level that only a few musicians reach in such a short time. His genius is well booked on deep house gigs and can be admired in the well-known deep house clubs in and around Amsterdam. His funky sound and diversity in music allow him to set up a relaxed environment for lounge clubs and cocktail bars.
His exclusive style brought him to the best known clubs of Amsterdam such as: “ Escape”, “Club NL” and “The Mansion”.
